South Africa's Minister of Finance, Pravin Gordhan to Address 1st South African International Solidarity Economy Conference

COPAC has supported the call for solidarity with local struggles against neoliberalisation and with the Occupy Wall street movement. In this context it has called on the Minister of Finance to enter a dialogue about the space and role of the solidarity economy movement in South Africa. The Minister is being asked to speak on the need for a plurality of economic practices and logics to shape the direction of the South African economy. The media is invited to attend. He will be speaking at 3pm, Thursday 27 October, at the WITS Professional Biz Hub. See attached for further details.
